O he was such a good boy this year! Just look how happy he is to open his little present!
I don't even remember what it was and I doubt he does either.

WARD HALLOWEEN PARTY

At our Ward Halloween Party, Taylor went as Spartacus (but people kept asking if he was Pontius Pilate...yikes!) and I went as an angel.  Not many people came, and of those that did come, few dressed up.  But we LOVED dressing up! I even entered the gumball counting contest (that was apparently supposed to be for the primary kids) and I won it!!! Our friends, the Althoffs, went as a flapper girl and a mofia man.  And there was a cute baby that was a frog!!! And he crawled like one too!

Witches Night Out

Three Witches and a Pilgrim

Ladies night out!!!  My friend Tara, my cousin Heather, and my sister Stephanie and I went to Gardner Village in West Jordan for Witch's night out.  Everyone was way dressed up, making us look so under dressed.  There were tons of little shops and candy stores (ooo yummy!).  We got dinner at this little bakery and sat down at a table.  I set my broom by the aisle and sat a few chairs in.  When I was done eating, I went to throw away my leftovers, and when I came back, there was a little girl sitting at our table, and her dad standing next to her with a broom still wrapped in packaging.  And then i see the little girl was holding my broom! I went over and said, "O, I think that's my broom."  She said it was hers.  I said, "No, this must be yours" - pointing to the broom her dad was holding.  "No this is mine!" said the girl.  So I grab the broom and start to pull it and she pulls harder!! Well, then my friend Tara, seeing me ready to beat this little 10 year old, comes running up, saying, "O Val, I grabbed your broom.  And here's your purse too."  Then she hands me MY broom.  And then I walked away from the witch child.  And no, I didn't apologize to her.  Neither her nor her dad should have been at a LADIES NIGHT OUT... so I justified myself in not saying sorry.  Poor traumatized girl.  I'm sure she won't be going to one of those again for a very long time.
